Kristi Kautz and Jeffrey Smith Named 2017 Texas Rising Stars by Thomson Reuters

Fletcher Farley is honored to have Kristi L. Kautz and Jeffrey D. Smith selected to the 2017 Texas Rising Stars list.

Texas Rising Stars must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less. No more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state are named to the Rising Stars list.

Kristi L. Kautz was recognized in the practice areas of Insurance Coverage and Civil Litigation: Defense. Her practice emphasizes a variety of complex areas of the law involving bad faith claims, insurance defense, premises liability, transportation defense as well as general tort liability.

Jeffrey D. Smith was recognized in the practice area of Civil Litigation: Defense. Jeff has extensive civil litigation experience in state and federal court representing defendants in a variety of personal injury, commercial and business litigation matters.

Rising Stars lists are published nationwide in Super Lawyers magazines and in leading city and regional magazines and newspapers across the country. The 2017 Texas Rising Stars list is published by Thomson Reuters' legal division and will run in the April 2017 issues of Texas Monthly and Texas Rising Stars magazines.
